Canada Post mail service disruption announced.

Important Information During a Postal Strike

The union representing Canada Post employees has issued their 72 hour notice which means that they will be in a legal position to strike as early as Monday, October 22, 2018.  In the event of a postal service disruption, you may not receive your Milton Hydro paper bill and payments made by mail may not be delivered.   
 
Milton Hydro encourages customers to use its online and electronic bill services to minimize the impact of the potential strike. By registering for MyAccount, customers can manage their electricity account online, view their energy consumption, as well as access current and past statements to ensure payment and receipt of their bill amount on time. 
 
Sign up for paperless eBilling to ensure your hydro bill is kept current and in good standing. By signing up for eBilling you will also automatically be entered into our "Win Your Hydro Bill" Contest, a monthly draw of $150.00 which runs until August 31, 2019. Bill Payment During a Postal Disruption: 
  • Customers are responsible for making a bill payment by the due date
  • Do not mail the bill payment if a strike is expected, or during a strike / lock-out. Consider other Payment Options.
  • On-line, over the telephone, or in person through their bank
  •  Pre-authorized payment
  • Cash, Cheque or Money order - Customer who wish to pay using this method can do so at our office, 200 Chisholm Dr., Milton, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday,8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Payment drop box - available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the front door. Customers are advised not to deposit cash in the dropbox.
  • Late payment fees will apply for bills not paid by their due date
