Milton Hydro Appoints New Board Chair
Milton Hydro is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Leitch, CPA, MBA, ICD.D, as the new Chair of the Board of Directors. Matthew has served on the Board since 2022, contributing extensive experience across the energy, technology, finance, and people-leadership sectors. His proven ability to navigate complex industry landscapes will be instrumental as Milton Hydro continues to meet the demands of a rapidly growing community
In his new role as Chair, Matthew will help guide the organization’s long-term direction, with a continued focus on operational excellence, innovation, and service to the Milton community. His leadership strengthens Milton Hydro’s commitment to delivering reliable, customer-focused energy solutions while supporting the municipality’s continued growth.
Milton Hydro also extends its deep appreciation to outgoing Chair, George Minakakis, MBA, who will be stepping down following his recent election victory in the Milton Ward 1 byelection. George has been a dedicated member of the Board for 12 years, the last five as the Chair, playing a central role in steering the organization through major transformation and positioning it for future success. His leadership and steady guidance have left a lasting impact on Milton Hydro and the community it serves.
